Theme Footer Spam: How to remove

I was recently working on a site for a client who had chosen a theme they liked and then hired my services to individualise it for them. The basic structure they preferred was in place, but they wanted to change the ‘look’, add in some further functionality, and make it so that the theme was

What I Do

Having worked on literally thousands of WordPress sites over the years, I still look at any work on a WordPress site as a source of enjoyment. I do not set out a locked in structure of prices for work I do, for the simple reason that in most instances, the fee can be determined with open discussion and a sense of fair play by both parties. Consequently, this is not my only form of income and my fees are always reasonable and realistic.

Many of the clients I deal with are relatively new to the whole blogging/owning a website experience, but as well as working alongside the ‘newbies’, I also find myself working with organisations, schools, businesses and professional bodies.

WordPress can be used in a very diverse manner and although it is primarily a piece of blogging software, with subtle changesand adjustments it can be used as an excellent CMS [Content Management System] and for many other purposes.

What follows is just a small list of some of the requests which I frequently deal with and work on each day:

  • Installing WordPress – this often involves everything from purchasing a domain name, setting up a web hosting account, creating databases, installing WordPress and up to and includes, adding plugins and chosen themes.
  • Hacking and redesigning existing themes to suit individual needs and tastes
  • Upgrading WordPress versions and plugin updates.
  • Repairing broken and damaged WordPress sites. This often involves fixing plugins and additional codes/scripts that clients have tried to add themselves.
  • Graphic design work – ranging from a full PSD of a site layout to minor elements such as logos, images and design – including headers and styling.
  • Create themes. However, with so many themes available, it is more often the case that a client will choose a theme which looks suitable and then we will work together on adapting it and individualising it to suit.

My main reason for opting to use WordPress on the majority of sites I deal with these days, is because it is very flexible and as it has its own user interface. Once the installation is up and running and the customisation of presentation has been completed, clients can deal with adding content by themselves and therefore, are not so reliant on a third party. My personal motto is ‘Helping other to help themselves‘ and thus, enabling clients to have full control of their websites.

So, if you need help on your WordPress site or perhaps you are contemplating a change over to WordPress from another type of software or website structure, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Random Quotes

We must have a theme, a goal, a purpose in our lives. If you don't know where you're aiming, you don't have a goal. My goal is to live my life in such a way that when I die, someone can say, he cared.
